Dr. Mary C. Zink - "The Housecall Veterinarian"

Dr. Marcy C. Zink

"I think the best part of being a veterinarian is that by keeping pets healthy, I can play a role in maintaining that very special bond between people and their pets.  It's the same bond that I have enjoyed with my own pets throughout the years and the reason I went to veterinary school in the first place!"

- Mary C. Zink, DVM

Dr. Mary C. Zink grew up in Perry Hall, Maryland as the youngest child of six.  She attended University of Maryland and received her bachelors degree in Biology and Animal Science in 1988.  She then went to The Ohio State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and received her doctorate degree in 1992.

After working in veterinary hospitals in Maryland, Virginia, and Missouri, Dr. Zink decided to open her own veterinary hospital here in the Baltimore area where she grew up. Because she wanted to give her patients more individualized attention in an environment that was less stressful for the pet, she chose to go into her client's homes providing veterinary house calls.

Dr. Zink finds it especially rewarding providing veterinary services for individuals that are physically unable to travel to traditional full service veterinary hospitals. She believes very strongly that these individuals also have a right to own and enjoy a pet and that they too benefit physically and emotionally, from the special bond that develops between a pet and their owner.

Dr. Zink currently resides in Towson, Maryland with her husband, two children and an assortment of pets! Her personal interests include spending time with family, fishing, hiking, camping, and mountain biking.
